Traditional CAI kits, whether factory or aftermarket, are mostly designed around the same theme of sitting the intake snorkel on top of the radiator and hope that some cold air gets pushed in. Our design is innovatively different. We have fabricated new moldings from scratch that allow for cold air to be picked up from strategic locations to allow the coldest air possible to enter the Air box. The result is a significant increase in performance, throttle response, acceleration and power consistency. One of the other noticeable advantages is the improvement in Induction Whine and Supercharger noise. You can actually hear your M90 Supercharger working now!! Power Improvements of 4-9kW and 10-20Nm More Torque coupled with Greatly Improved Throttle Response and Induction Sound. This CAI kit is the Best Available for V6 Ecotec and Supercharged V6's. | Why is FIT's Type-S Intake better than traditional designs? | ||
|
A road car spends most of it's time in traffic, sitting still. When they do get going it's only usually up to 60 - 110 kilometers per hour. Then they have to come to a stop again. ¼mile testing is done from a dead standstill, and usually involves lengthy waits in the queue before having your run. That CAI on top of the radiator is soaking in heat all the time. All this stop start type driving as well as heat soak from the radiator, fans and engine to the CAI pick-up on most Commodores makes this traditional type of CAI less effective the longer you have the engine running for. Next time you pull up after about 30 mins driving, pop the bonnet and feel the CAI inlet and tube and try and tell us it's not hot. While you’re at it, put your hand under the front bumper bar, and feel how much cooler it is there. This is where we are picking up the air with our Street series CAI kit. We have designed it well to avoid any radiant heat from penetrating the piping and spoiling the cold air that is being sourced from outside. Think about it logically and you will see our product by design is technically superior to traditional CAI's along with a Comprehensive Component makes it great value. |
