FIT Air-to-Air Intercooler
Before and After Comparison

As you can see from the Dyno Graphs there are tremendous gains in power and torque right across the rev range from the fitment of our FIT Air-to-Air Intercooler. The initial design worked even better than anticipated, and we still have further improvements and revisions up our sleeve to extract more power in the future.

This is one of our test vehicles belonging to Michael Gordon. The car was already producing bucket loads of power with such modifications as FIT 13psi Boost Upgrade and Comp Cam and host of other modifications it produced a very healthy 256.8rwhp (The full modification list can be viewed Michael Gordon's feature on our 1/4 mile page). This set-up produced an astounding 1/4 mile time of 13.2 sec ET at 103mph at the Quit Motorplex in Dec 2003.

Look at what happens when we add an intercooler to the equation!!

SUPERCHARGED V6
goes head-to-head with
GEN III LS1 V8 and AUSSIE 5.0L V8

Check out how impressive the 3.8 Litre Supercharged V6 can be when it goes head to head with a 5.7 Litre Gen 3 CV8 Monaro, and a VN 5.0 Litre Aussie V8!! You'll be astounded!!
The supercharged V6 has been modified by us using 10 psi Boost upgrade pulley, 1.9:1 High Ratio Roller Rocker arms, and Kalmaker engine remapping by Chipmaster. The cost of our upgrades totalled less than $2000 fitted. It had already been blessed with a free flowing exhaust system from the previous owner.

FIT 1.9:1 High Ratio Roller Rockers
vs.
Brand X 1.8 High Ratio Roller Rockers

The full independent evaluation has been done by one of the Street Commodores well known and well respected members, ScareCrow420, who had already purchased and installed the Brand 'x' 1.8's months before and had heard so much talk about the FIT 1.9's that he decided he'd like to give them a try and do a full before and after analysis on the results.

HS 1.9 Billet Aluminum Rollers with Roller Tips
vs
FIT 1.9 Original Reworked Roller Rockers with Standard Tips

The Power and Torque Advantages of the FIT 1.9 Rockers are immediately and quite conclusively in FIT's favour with the margin of 4-5rwkw easily visualised from the accompanying dyno charts. The Rocker Comparison Test was done at an Independent Dyno Centre called "Boostin Oz Adelaide" in SA running a Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer recording in Shoot-Out mode for accuracy and consistency of readings. A member of the Street Commodores forum "Josh Super6" undertook the comparison testing after having already purchased and installed the HS 1.9's and not been completely satisfied with the results both on the dyno and on the road.

SUPERCHARGED VT V6
10 psi Pulley Kit and
1.9:1 High Ratio Roller Rockers
before and after comparison

Check out the difference between a bog stock Supercharged V6 Statesman, and one of our customer's vehicles, a Supercharged V6 VS Commodore Sedan. We supplied him with a 10psi Boost upgrade, 1.9:1 High Ratio Roller Rocker arms that he fitted himself. Being an exhaust fitter he also fitted extractors and 3" single system all the way to the back. Daniel from Chipmaster provided the Kalmaker engine mapping solutions.

SUPERCHARGED VT V6
10 psi Pulley Kit and
1.9:1 High Ratio Roller Rockers
another satisfied customer

This is again our customers Supercharged V6 VS Commodore Sedan before and after his upgrades. You'll again notice the huge increases in power he has obtained from simple bolt on components purchased through us. They took no longer than 3 hours total to install. His total purchase cost less than $1,500 and he achieved gains between 50hp and 70hp at 4500rpm and 5600rpm respectively. That's only $25 per hp of gain!! Where else can you get so much gain for so little money?!

VT Executive Commodore Auto
with Pacemaker extractors, 2 1/2" Exhaust and
FIT 1.9:1 High Ratio Roller Rockers

This is another prime example of how well FIT's 1.9:1 High Ratio Roller Rockers work, even without tuning. As part of our promotional offer to evaluate more before and after dyno statistics of our 1.9:1 High ratio Roller rockers, Lorne Mills drove up from Corrigin WA, to have a before and after comparison of what the rockers could do for him.
Driving onto the dyno the Ecotec pulled a healthy 136.8rwhp (102.8rwkw). This was around par, given the car was a standard VT Executive Auto, and fitted with pacemaker extractors and 2 1/2" and cat back exhaust. The air/fuel ratio was way on the lean side, around 13.5:1, and would benefit from being made richer, but we still weren't ahead with the evaluation.

NON-SUPERCHARGED VT V6
1.9:1 High Ratio Roller Rockers
also available for Ecotec

Another fine example of how well our products work on Non-Supercharged V6 Ecotech naturally aspirated engines as well. We have scaled the graph in Rear Wheel Kilowatts (rwkw) for those of you used to dealing with the kilowatt unit of measurement.
Here we see a modified Ecotech V6 VT Commodore Acclaim 5 spd Manual with cat back exhaust and cold air intake. We immediately put it up on the dyno to see how much power it produced as delivered to us. It produced an impressive 116rwkw, which converted to horsepower yields approximately 150hp. That's quite impressive for a naturally aspirated 3.8 Litre V6 with not too many modifications.

Factory Supercharged V6 3.8 litre Commodore Wagon
Breaks through the 270kW barrier.

The vehicle belongs to Daniel Mark from Western Australia, and from what we can gather started off life as a naturally aspirated V6 with manual transmission. Being a VP Commodore it of course never came out with a supercharged motor, so Daniel found one from a wrecked VT Commodore and did the conversion. Being manual is definitely a great advantage as there is less drive train loss than what is normally associated with automatic transmissions. We always questioned why Holden would never did sell the V6 supercharged with manual transmission… maybe because they knew it would be more economical, powerful and faster than the comparable V8!!

Project XU-6

This VX Series 2 HSV XU-6 belonging to our Intercooler Development Team Manager is build No: 117 and was one of the last manufactured by HSV. This is an outstanding vehicle that is greatly under-rated, and will be much sought after in time to come. Totally stock off the showroom floor the HSV XU-6's claimed 180kW, a few more kW than the standard issue supercharged motor in the 'S' Pac, Acclaim, Calais and Statesman. The increased kW came from HSV's addition of HM Extractors; Twin 2 1/2" HSV Exhaust, Re-calibrated Memcal and HSV Improved CAI. Boost on the XU-6 is preset at the same level as the regular S/C V6 mill, a measly 6psi. By far the most popular choice as the "great all-rounder" is the FIT 10psi Pulley Upgrade Kit. The Boost Upgrade kit retails for $695, and took approximately 30mins to swap over.
