Over one and a half years worth of planning, 1800 man hours consumed, and $40,000 spent by FIT on design development, engineering and testing. The result is the "Holy Grail" of the V6 supercharged market ! Yes, we have discovered the Power Maker ! A2A Intercooling is the greatest and best power adding product for Supercharged V6's in Australia. Without Intercooling the most you can hope to achieve is 225kW. With the addition of a FIT A2A Intercooler you can achieve 280-300kW ! Prior to FIT A2A Intercooler Development supercharged V6's have been difficult to intercool, mainly due to lack of facility with factory stock manifold setup and space constraints. Other methods of intercooling such as W2A are available but the long time favourite is A2A due to the Power, Sound and Incredible Looks of the Front Mount Intercooler and chrome piping. Air to Air is somewhat more reliable long term than water to air such that if A2A ever developed a leak it would only fill the engine with air and cause no harm. Power and Reliability is why the FIT A2A remains the favourite in the V6 Supercharged Scene.

At FIT we like to do things differently. Why produce the same products everyone else its producing. Instead we at FIT decided to develop something entirely different to what was conventionally available, something of our own design and engineering. On the 4th day March 2004 the first ever FIT Air-to-Air Intercooler was born. A Total evolution from the ground up. The "Adaptor Plate" is a totally new concept to the V6 Scene and forms the centrepiece of the FIT Air-to-Air intercooler design. Made from solid virgin alloy casting that takes months of special moulding and attention. It features 70mm inlets and outlets, clears all obstacles within the standard engine bay, and is a simple fit for a general mechanic, or advanced DIY consumer. The proprietary patent pending design revolves around the centre core structure. The pressurised discharge air from the supercharger is diverted out through the adaptor plate to a front mounted intercooler. There it is cooled considerably before returning back in through the adaptor plate and into the intake manifold. The end result is a substantial increase in power through the lowering of intake charge temperature and increase in air density. So much is the effect that gains from 70-80kW can be achieved instantly !
